My teeny pond

I built this 2 years ago from purely recycled materials, especially for the little frog that had been living under the dripping water pipe in my garden for a year. He 'moved in', mated and produced little taddys. Its now his and his froggy wifes perma home.

Thanks for the comments. Its small but perfectly formed. And as they say.. size isn't everything! Squid the real frog loves it too ;)

we just rescued over 10 baby frogs and mum today while putting new pond in, so they are now safe in their new home nearby a very large pond, nowhere to keep them till pond settled so had to do something.

I am certain at least one will make their way back home :) Mine was rescued from under a dripping tap in the back garden. (I've added a pic of him somewhere.) I named him Squid. He found a mate, did the deed and had lots of babies last year. They always come back to the same pond year after year to breed. Yes, I am a massive Frog lover! haha.

I love that...I love the way the wooden edging smartens it up and hides the edge of the liner. This is how I was going to do my pond...with an octagonal shaped edging over a circular liner....but then I decided not to...and now I am thinking I should again!! lol...

I just wanted something small for the very corner of my garden. And triangle shaped because well, I hadn't seen a triangle shaped one before! lol The wood covering the liner happened because the liner is actually an old waterbed liner (very heavy rubber) and if you look closely its actually aqua green! hahah.. A bit unsightly but more than does the job! ;-) I think you should go for it.. but I am a bit impulsive like that.

No matter how small your little frogies love it, and you`ve made a lovely job of it.

very unusual shape, does stuff tend to get stuck in the coners?
