Photinia Fraseri 'Camilvy'

Photinia Fraseri 'Camilvy'

This is the photinia which almost died totally last year. I had to prune it back to bare wood and hope. It has recovered well and as you can see, it was well worth trying to save.

Yes! Thanks M. Sadly the large Standard 'Red Robin' really did die, but this one has come through shining! :))

It has recovered well.

Thank you! I find that little Red Robin is tricky and Red Robin is not as hardy as this one and Pink Marble.

Lovely:)

Pink Marble is going really well in its red pot in front of the house, the other one up in the plum tree border Fraserii is ok but the rabbit nibbled off some of the shoots and spoiled the look of it. Think it is recovering though so fingers crossed. Looks like new leaves are sprouting out of the little branches ok.

Yes, they readily re-grow from the branches.

Oh good, thought that would be the case, now I have just to keep the horror out, we both think that the perisher is living in the garden somewhere now - under a bush in a hole, you just wait until I find the hole. Ferrets will be out. lol oops I haven't got a ferret. Will have to borrow one. lol. Sorry folks needs must and they do make a nice pie. lol.

lol, thanks! :))

That's looking really good now, I have no bother with them here.

No Annie, and I think part of my problem is poor drainage here as well as wind and frost. I think poor drainage is my very worst enemy. That and builders' sand (feet deep on this side). One the pond hole is dug, this shrub will have even more chance to spread it's roots out a bit.

Love the Photinia the colours are brilliant, I bought Little Red Robin last year it has managed to get through the severe frost we had earlier in the year and is now beginning to put a spurt on';0))

I've already lost two little red robins Pansypotter, so hopefully the third one will do better...like yours, it has made it through it's first winter :))

Fingers crossed that your third is successful;0)
