How lovely! it reminds me of my old house, we had two lovely rhoddies, that had the same flower. I loved them unfortunately I don't think the new people did as they ripped them out as soon as they moved in.

Isn't it sad, that, Jennyh? You raise plants like children, and no one appreciates them as much.......

What is it? Cunningham´s White?

Ah, Jennyh, I know so many idiots that I always wish to see the last one when I meet them. I had similar experience. I sold small property with beautiful old pear tree (having delicious fruits each year) and very special ornamental pine tree to a guy who cutted all and everywhere put concrete pavement.

Hey, Pim, this rhododendron is beautiful. Some people are asking here, what is its name? Is it about one meter high, please?

good Morning katarina..it is a pretty thing, I have no idea what it is called though. A little over a meter maybe 1.5m or 5ft in old money.
Would a pictore of the bud help? I will put one up now :)

Unfortunately there are several rhododendrons, which have pink rose buds and then white flowers with different spots inside. I just wonder if it is not Cunningham White, which I have, but its maximum height after ten years is aaaaalmost one meter. It grows more to the width then height.

Ah Katarina..The eventual hieght of Cunningham White is given as 2.2mx2.2m I had a good look at the flower and think it may be.

Pim, we just had discussion with SL about these data on height of rhododendrons. Without being expert on rhododendrons, I can say that rhododendrons usually reach its definite height in 15 years. My Cunningham white is 14 years old, yet it has 1x1,5 m. In arboretum 100 km from my garden there are several bushes and they have 2 metres. I think, all depends on the place where it grows.
