Mr Duck has gone, sadly. Hope he returns with a mate. He started to come into the house for food, was so tame.

Does your's return each year?

I've had ducks nest for 3 years now, Dawn, but can't be sure it's the same female each year. She seemed much less confident this year which made me wonder if it was a different pair. I had a pair wandering around the front garden yesterday so thought I may have a second nest but I have not checked it out yet - too much rain and it was so cold here :(

I love the yellow contrast against the darker leaves ......
