Welsh Onions

Does Hywel know you've got his onions? Are they a real veg or just ornamental?

Well .... I remember my Dad growing what he called multiplying onions. Someone gave him a root and they grew like spring onions in a clump but came up every year and you just break the outside ones off and they keep expanding. It was Toto who told me they were called welsh onions so found some seed and grew them last year. They've come through Winter OK.
