why is it called the thermal pond Kat?

Because the water in it is thermal. Maybe in English you call it differently. Mineral water is not crrect, as mineral water can be also cold. This water is hot - in the spring it has around 50 degrees of Celsius, but in the pond it is colder, of course. Ducks love this place. Funny to watch them how they enjoy it :)

It looks like fog rolling in at ground level :o)

Might be, too, as there was some mist above the pond level. Tha water is evaporating when it is colder outside and this photo was made in the evening, when there was around 13 degrees.
