did you have any trouble getting the photo to be the same colour as the flower?

i did have to turn the exposure down a few yes, but other than that it was ok Sticki...

when i tried to take a picture of mine it looked blue but its really purple.
i changed something on the AWB and then it was ok.??

Ah sounds like it was over compensating then. did you use the flash, i didn't i used a slower shutter setting..

no i didnt use the flash. the new camera seems to cope better with light or lack of.

Lovely, this looks like Kim S/L. I have a huge collection of these and grow them every year from leaf cuttings. They are not difficult are they, but never let them stand in water, it will kill them.

yes that's right Cinderella very easy, i water mine from the bottom to stop crown rot i only had a couple but they are lovely, i think is was Kim but i lost the label :-)

Im glad you said that about the watering ~ i would have been doing it wrong!! mine is called 'Katie'

just looked that one up Sticki, it's lovely... from the top is ok if you do it carefully and don't get it on the crown, i prefer the other way it's safer...

i filled a dish with water this morning and put the plant in, took it out once the water had been absorbed; thank you.

I read that you treat this plant like and African Violet.

Well, I ordered a plug plant and bid on another two....I think they will look great with my African Violets.

There will be no room for the family in the house soon.....lol

I haven't been very successful with African violet in the past.

You have to find the right window with good light but not full sun. Water from the bottom and presto.
Mine need to be moved soon....too much sun now.

as Alex say Sticki, like the African violets, water from the bottom they really hate water on the crown..

I haven't got any AV at the moment, might see how I get on with the streptocarpus first?
