I'm guessing your garden has ericaceous soil ?

It is very mixed soil as we started with a bare rubble piece of ground we just had to get topsoil in and having always wanted to grow rhodies I cheated with that bit and filled it with ericaceous compost and regularily top it up and mulch as well :))

You've obviously worked very hard ... but worth it ... wonderful results ! :o)
