I know, that's what I thought when I saw it, Pixi...it's for in front of Apollo - so he'll be standing on a cloud! lol!

Very good choice.

Love the shape of the petals...very sophisticated! Reminds me of Rosemary flowers.

Thank you Sg...I just saw it and had an idea.
The colours are very similar, Karen - but the foliage is much more silvery.
...it's not completely hardy, though! Monsieur B told me that I, 'live in the coldest spot in the world - but not to worry...it's only cheap and I can always get another one'
He's obviously cottoned on to me...maybe I should visit another nursery from time to time! lol! ;)

lol....send him up here! lol :))

Lol! He wouldn't go, Karen...he's onto too much of a good thing here. I'm sure that he thinks he has sold me a money tree in the past! ;)))

that's nice Karen :-)

That is nice.

That looks really nice K...Apollo will be pleased with his new adornment!

Hi SL, Bloomer, Clarice and Scottish - I've never seen it before, either. It's a bit scraggy at the moment but it should fill out into to a lovely cloud! :)

I forgot that I had seeds for this - must dig'em out as it's lovely Karen!

Hi Meanie - it's good to know that it can be grown from seed - just in case it kicks the bucket in the winter!
I wouldn't know how to go about collecting them though...what do you do?
8 May, 2012
No idea!! They were sent to me in a swap. They are not minute seeds as I recall, so collecting them should be easy enough though.
8 May, 2012
Well, when you find out - do tell me...
I can't afford to go re-stocking the garden at this rate every year! lol!
8 May, 2012
This should be hardy Karen............
8 May, 2012
I was told it's hardy to -5°, Meanie...
...and this having been my first winter, with plants in the ground, at this house - it seems we have a wee problem with that!
8 May, 2012
Only time will tell. We can't judge things by just one year.......
8 May, 2012
True...but, if -20°C for two weeks in late March can happen once, it can happen again...and I don't really want to risk it. I'm playing a bit safer. I lost hundreds of Euros worth of plants and trees! :(

Is it me or do those petals look like the wings that Hermes has on his ankles...apollo, hermes...I see a theme!!!
8 May, 2012
Lol, Scottish!
...I don't really know if he is Apollo...as far as I can remember Apollo didn't have a dog! lol!! :D
...but, they're both going to be floating on a 'silver cloud'...as all greek gods worth their salt should be! ;))))

Just showed son your picture of 'Apollo' he says it is Apollo - Artemis his sister would also have a quiver of arrows.
8 May, 2012
I thought he was...
...and, strangely, OH's son named his daughter Artemis...
...but, please DON'T give her a quiver of arrows!!!!
8 May, 2012
Probably not a good idea!!
8 May, 2012
Africa one minute - the next -20°c in France! Got that back to front didn't you!!!
8 May, 2012
Lol! Unfortunately, I missed that bit...or I might have been able to do something to protect some stuff...
No, I left Africa at the beginning of the rainy season...to come home to...yup - the rainy season! lol!
