The colouring reminds me a lot of my 'Dragon Dreams' larger flower on yours though :-)

I think I need some Edge-no-Eyes, or something with a lot of ruffling to cross with these types. I did try crossing this with the Unk X Smoke Scream of a couple of days ago and this as pollen parent to Fuchia Four X Grape Splash - a yellow poly that looks almost like the Sallie Brown X Give Me Eight of the other day (if you noticed on the children of Dragon Dreams, the eye gets passed on when it is the pollen parent).

I really must get pollinating a few of mine this summer, should think you have to be up pretty early in the morning, remember last year there were so many hoverflies swarming all over them.
I didn't know Dragon Dreams passed on its eye to children but I'll certainly make a note of that, it is so pretty :-)

Pollinating needs to be done first thing in the morning, as soon as you get pollen & usually before 11 A.M.
On Tinkers, just above the solid green line, click on "children" if there is a number other than 0 and it will show both pod and pollen results for named children. There will also be photos, if available.

Those with ruffled petal edges are my favourites.

I've seen the 'children' bit on Tinkers but never really looked at them, a good idea if I'm thinking of having a go at crossing some of mine, at least then I'll have a bit of an idea what traits are passed on, rather than just dabbing pollen and hoping for the best :-))

Remember that edges are usually passed along on the pollen side :)

When you are picking 2 flowers to hybridize, if you want ruffled eges or ones with colour, or with teeth, you should use the pollen of a flower that has the edge you want. If the pod parent already has the edge you want, and you use the pollen from a lesser edge, you reduce the chances of keeping the better edge.
I now have 2 named varieties (John Benoot and Gilded By Grace) that I just got to improve some edges, and I will be using their pollen to do this. Results in 2 years :)

Yes, I agree with Terra, but please, keep the colour as it is now, maestro.

But not too frilly, Terratoonie, or there is another problem called hang-up. I have a really nice yellow that has very frilly edges, but because they are like that the edges interlock and the the flower won't open.
