It is beautiful, me too, I am not confident at all with house plants, I have tried, but I seem to neglect them as they need too much attention, love the outdoor ones as they look after themselves. I was at Notscutts yesterday, they had so many different colours, I was very tempted, but thought of leaving it for now till the builders have tiled the kitchen, I am looking forward to putting plants on the kitchen window sill :)))

i couldnt grow orchids before, they all died but someone told me only to water them once a week and let all the water drain out ~ never leave them standing in water. it certainly works, i have had orchids flowering ever since.

Yes, precisely, they need lots of attention and perhaps that was my problem, but now I'll make more time for them. You're spot on, watering 7-14 days depending on the season, drain off to prevent roots from rotting. But I wish both of you lots of joy with indoor plants...especially on the kitchen window cill :0)
