I had three of the seeds germinate Meanie but two went due to damping off.
I have three Kennedia seedling enjoying the sun. What is the growth habit of Kennedia???
I could kick myself......I can't find the Leonotis.

Kennedia is a climber - hardy down to 0°c (or close).

Alexandramou:
Which Cassia species is this? They can damp off because most species of Cassia like it on the dry side. It's best for it to dry out between watering.

I have to check on the species. Meanie will know....
Thanks for that tip....I haven't been letting it dry out.

It almost looks like C. tomentosa or bicapsularis (which grows like a weed here in San Diego)....however, so many Cassia seedlings look very similar.

Had a look, it's C. bicapsularis.
Everything grows like a weed there!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Cassia species have been growing in California for a very long time. Many species have naturalizes in many spots.
C. bicapsularis grows wild in many areas and especially along the 5 Freeway in northern San Diego County.
