Thank you Treetop - They come up every year without fail underneath the Apple Tree.

I keep digging up the Spanish ones so the English ones I have can flourish. These Kentish ones are specially good.

Thanks Inverglen - How do you tell the difference between the English and Spainish ones?
31 May, 2012
The English ones have a slightly bent stalk and the bells hang down in clusters. The Spanish ones are taller, with a thicker and straighter stalk and bigger strap like leaves. The flowers are distributed down the stalk instead of in clusters. They cross pollinate with the English ones but dominate and will eventually take over if you let them. They are attractive too but I don't want a complete take-over bid.

Thanks for the info Inverglen. I think I can safely say that mine are English!
