so true ,I have just been to california,arizona and nevada states.driven through and seen all kind of palms,tropical and cactus desert.The desert has a beauty all its own

This is the most widely planted palm in California. It's pretty funny because it's even more widely grown than the California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera).
