lovely heuchera...I've definitely lost two..Tiramisu (So sad :() and Citronelle...both 'Villosas'. Very disappointed to have to chuck them away today, but no sign of any growth whatsoever. INterestingly, when I turned them out of the pots, the compost (JI no.2) was very cold to the touch, even though they had been in the greenhouse. Perhaps try again with some more organic compost like multi-purpose. Worth a try I think.

Try mixing the multi purpose compost with JI No 3 that might be better for them. I only use JI No 3 in my tubs, sometimes I wonder if it is as good as it is supposed to be. Think different manufacturers have different mixes for it. The one I use is quite a sandy mixture.

It is filling in nicely, still lots to grow up, moved plants about last autumn and earlier on this spring so some of it a little bare in places. But it will fill in eventually.

Yes, I did that today with some Fennel seedlings. I think that's a good idea...best of both then. The Westland JI no. 2 is very sandy and heavy.

Same here today Pansy, very windy. Frost (severe) forecast for tonight so if you have anything tender outside cover them up.
