Meanie:
Well, the giant tree above the Africa Tulip tree is a Jacaranda which is starting to flower, and is kind of late considering how warm it's been, and because most around are in full bloom now.

You're clearly not talking nicely enough to it then!!!!
I suppose excess heat can distress a plant as well as too much cold?

Meanie:
It's strange, because the three corners house (I'm in one) has each have a Jacaranda tree. They all bloom late. The trees don't receive any water. Maybe that's the problem.
Jacaranda trees like heat and need it to bloom. Jacaranda trees are very widely grown in Palm Springs (low subtropical desert), and the heat out there is extreme.
