Just looked it up and I think you're right, Sg.
Would the foliage be edible in that case, do you think?

I was not sure if you could eat it but look at this link http://www.edibleyardworks.com/buying-seed/edible-flower-seeds
You need to scroll down until you come to Dame's rocket which is another name given to it. It is of the mustard family. It is an interesting website on the'food for free' idea.

I will have a look. Food for free is quite the done thing with the older people here...
By the way...I've noticed one or two little apples forming on one of my little trees. I planted the other three that I bought, but I think that maybe there was already the right sort growing nearby. Never mind, though, they make the chicken pen more attractive!

Lol! The first summer I was here, I spent over a hundred euros on jars to put jam, jellies, preserved fruits and sloe gin in...and all the fruit was forraged!!

Wow!

It took us ages to eat it all...so I didn't make any the following year. In fact, I think we've still got some of the sloe gin... :/

Idk if you are seeing the Chelsea flower show but it had pink and white hesperis in one of the show gardens today.
