It's growing wild outside on the verge!!

You had better collect some of the seeds then and sow them in the garden. Its another like the poppy which seems to pop up all over the place.

Okay...but I'm a novice on the seed collecting, Sg. Poppies are easy - but what do I look for and do with this one?

The seed pods are like mini green beans and they go brown and split open when the seeds are ripe. They will sit there in the opened pod and you should be able to shake them in to a bag. Have a look at this site it tells you about different seeds and how to sow them for best results. http://theseedsite.co.uk/db23.html
You will need to look for Eryngium, the latin name for the wallflower.

I will go and look today. Can I take them off the plant before they're ripe?

There is no need but as they start to turn brown you could cut the whole stem and put the heads in a paper bag and hang them head down in a cool airy place to let them ripen.

Okay...will do that! :)
