pleased you like it, afraid that bloom is now just a memory,the heat here is such it only lasted a few days full out.

We are getting hot days now too...it's only the end of May, for heaven's sake! one extreme to the other...it's only been about 10 days since we had our last frost.
One of the very best things about paeonies is that they live so long and scorn too much care. They produce the most magnificent blossom but last only for their own short season. Who could object to the very nature of perfection? Irises are finally starting here, as though they've been jolted by the heat, and along with the paeonys (sp.?) they are a source of wonder. I enjoyed your series of blogs about a walk down your garden path... just fabulous!

That is beautiful , they had one outside the farm shop today where I buy the bird seed I was very tempted to buy one but had already spend my allowance and more on plants /trees this last week when we were away ,another time perhaps ...
