Thanks Michaella. I have three of these at the end of my front garden and it's strange, two are like this and the one in the middle has hardly any flowers!

How do you get plants to grow in the stones or pebbles? I have a huge pebble driveway and finally got a little Alyssum growing and it was a victim of Round Up for the weeds. (helpful husband). Is this plant related to Flax? Very delicate too.

Hi Wells. The roots are in the soil and there is a semi-permeable membrane between that and the gravel. Helianthemum is known as rock rose and it is a member of the Cistaceae family...sorry, I don't know if Flax is a member of that family...hope this helps! :)

Is this a dwarf plant Karen, its very pretyt, just had a picture in my mind of them being a medium sized shrub, maybe mixing them up with something else!

Hmm...more of an alpine this one Carole. I wonder if you might be thinking of Cistus...rock rose? They are larger and have similar silvery foliage and rose like flowers.
