I have a big 3 gallon bucket that has about 25 teabags it it and a teacup by the side..I keep topping it up, as I give it a cup I replace it with a cup from the water butt.
It does seem to work.

i have an old tea urn that my work through out and that's full the same as you Pimms, it's something that my dad and his dad used to do...
