End-of-Autumn Downunder - dwarf Hibiscus

It's quite lovely isn't it? It's a newbie for me. As you might remember I had loads of the old-fashioned red flowering Hibiscus already growing here, but this is the first time that I've actually planted one myself.
I chose this lovely little hot pink dwarf as the blooms are rather unusual. Not only are they are a fabulous colour but the blooms don't open fully. They stay in this half-open, half-closed state.

It does look very unusual. It reminds me of Hibiscus bojeranus, which I've only seen once at the San Diego Zoo.

Yes, the H. bogeranus has a very beautiful flower.
I have never seen it for sale here in San Diego.
