Two completely different ways of dealing with the situation....The bees were not "Displaced" as said in the above they were exterminated.

Pp that is sad if the Bees were exterminated , they are very much needed the world over , there are people trained to collect Bees in skips I guess they didn't try with so many people about ...

Yes, I'd have been interested and happy to know what happened to them. It seems to me that this was an enormous number of bees for a single swarm. I'm sure they wouldn't have been deliberately killed, but undoubtedly some will have been lost and died. Such a shame. That was one very brave bee man! If only in the face of city centre traffic involving mad Italian drivers!
