That looks pretty...what is the Pin Mill please?

The building was initially in Woodchester Gloucester where it was used as a pin mill, it was bought and moved brick by brick to Bodnant in 1938/9 it was rebuilt there, they then put in the lake to enhance the view, but to answer your question - I'm sorry Bloomer I don't know!

Yes interesting! it is a really attractive building you can see why they would have thought it worth all that effort :o)

Update: found the Bodnant Guide i bought 2 years ago and now have the info:- it was built as a garden house in 1730 then used as a pin mill - for the manufacture of pins!- later used as a tannery before falling into disrepair and being bought by 2nd Lord Aberconway for Bodnant. so simple really but I didn't remember!

Neellan this brings back happy memories having spent a wonderful holiday there yrs ago and visited the beautiful gardens .

I have a toy Jeep with the name Bodnant Gardens and it now sits on the shelf of my greenhouse.
