Everything was late in my garden this year, Lil...loads in the sense that they're now 'departed'...so, it's brilliant that they're still here! Hardier than they look, eh?!! :)))

I have two of these (from seed) probably won't see flowers on them until next year. I also have one pure white one (from seed).

I have these too Karen - been flowering for what seems like month!
They don't like the wet Karen - it rots them apparently. Did you put some grit on top of the soil when you planted? This keeps the water off the leaves. Read that on here somewhere - I have mine in a terracotta pot so i can move them somewhere the rain doesn't get to them.

Well, you seem to do very well without one, anyway, Alex...you must have lots of windowsills! ;)

The woman in the shop told me what it was, Scottish - in French (which I promptly forgot! lol! If I'm only getting a couple of things, I remember...any more than that and it's useless telling me) and she said it loves the sun and hates water - I remembered that bit. It's in a cranny in the rocks around the pond, so great drainage there and getting belted all day by the sun. So, I think it should be okay...?

Actually, I like it so much, I think I'm going to look for more...or, maybe even seeds, like you Alex...

Ah, would it be ok if I add perlite on top?

I have alpine grit on top of compost Alex - I read that on here somewhere. It seems to have worked.
