Little blue rockery plant...

It is Bacopa, a trailing plant used in hanging baskets and pots.

No its not unfortunately.

So pretty, I read that unlike many plants, bacopa does not wilt when dry. Instead, it loses its flowers and may take two or three weeks to begin blooming again.

That's actually true, Denise...although I wouldn't have thought about it until you mentioned it. It was really hot and dry when I planted the pond rockery up - and when everything else was wilting come 5pm...this stayed upright and happy. It didn't have may flowers then, but now it has loads!

Why don't you try taking some cuttings from it Karen, if you have room to look after them through the winter, you might be lucky and make new plants for next year.

I've only just taken my first cutting, D...weigela...so I'm a complete novice. But, why not - nothing ventured, nothing gained! :)

Somebody else told me that, Pim...(I'm missing out the p at the end to save any future trouble! lol!)...but I've only got limited space...although I was thinking about turning the end of the porch into a temporary winter GH with heavy duty plastic sheeting...you know for plants which just need a bit of protection. And having a proper GH which will fit into the available space.

You can consider the Weigela done and dusted. They take really easy and I've found that the Physocarpus took really easy too. I had them just lying around in a wee sheltered spot in the garden.
You have to give this a bash - it would be a real shame not too.
Have you considers taking as many cuttings as you can just now and have them all lying around - in the way - which could also lend weight to your argument :)
