I know it's struggling a little bit, having been moved for the third time, but it's flowering and I hope it will survive!

I suppose it is too cold in the winter Katarina. Still, at least you get a decent summer! It's bright sunshine here and only 9C..brrr...last week at this time...27C...we just never know what on earth the season is supposed to be from one day to the next!

I agree. This year is definitely strange spring. We had 27 C today, some storms too. I went for walk to the woods and found, that chestnuts already have small fruits!!!! At the beginning of June!!!
I once bought Ceanothus and it was so beautiful among my grasses :) But as you said, it was destroyed by Continental winter.
