This is a 5' seedling from Dark Reflections, not to be confused with a similar one that I think the seller mis-labled and sent the wrong one.

I have been using the pollen from this for experiments in freezing and then thawing several days later to cross with something. I even have a couple of pods setting seed for next year.

Mr. Lilly Frankestein, do not make crazy experiments too often. Otherwise one day you will wake up and a a great dark lilly will be standing in your shoes at your bedside asking you if you wish ham and eggs or just bacon with eggs.

It is a common practice so flowers that don't bloom the same day or season can be crossed.

You don't have to worry until I break out the Tesla coils... there is a daylily called 'Frankensteins Monster'.

Go to the home page of American Hemerocallis Society.
Then on the left, click on Daylily Database Online. In the box for cultivar search, type in Franken and hit search. This will show you 2 flowers, Frankenstein's Monster and Frankenflower. Click on one for a larger picture. Frankenflower is the nicer of the two.
