There are snails here but not enough to be a bother......the rest went to Sl's garden.....;o))))))))

You're so lucky! Snails are on the top of the list of worst bugs in California. Winter is the worst time for snails in San Diego and most of the low elevations of California (they don't affect the deserts or mountains).

Doesn't sound good. I'm terrified of snakes at the moment. There seems to be a few around.....they better stay away from me.

Do you have venomous snakes on Corfu?

Rattlesnakes are a real problems right now...even all the way to the beaches, which is extremely rare. Rattlesnakes kill and can cause many problems to people and dogs here in the western states. They are venomous.

We have one venumus snake....Nose-Horned Viper

I've seen enough of snakes on Animal Planet.......that's the only place I want to see them....through my tv.

It sounds like the rattlesnakes here...they're deadly!

In the deserts, there's the sidewinders, which is another species of ratttlesnake. What I don't like is that they hide in the sand and you can easily step on one. I learned this one year when I went to the desert (I was wearing slippers, no protection for my feet at all). I was almost afraid to step out of my car.

Slippers....boots with two pair of socks for me!!!

We live in shorts, t-shirts and slipper here in San Diego. :>)
