usually means they like shadier conditions.... Arum copes in all sorts of conditions as Franny says. though my last one rotted in a boggy spot.

So it will thrive..They can get huge in the ground, so give it room.

You're welcome to some S and as Pimms said they like sun or shade. The one's I've got in the back garden are in containers and are in full sun, the leaves are smaller and they produce more flowers than the one's I've got in a raised bed in a shady front garden where the leaves are much bigger. All of them have been split over the years from one plant given to me :o)

Yes, I've got 3 foster children who get up really early so I've changed my 'rising time' to 5am to try and get an hour in the garden before the hectic routine starts, lol! Bless 'em :o)

dont you get tired being up at 4 or 5 every day?? [or am i just getting old?]

I used to be up at three Sticki...and at work by four..So it is like having a sleep in. If I get tired it is in the afternoon about five-ish

after 3 early mornings i seem to get tired but i dont seem to be able to go to sleep any earlier, usually around 11.30 or 12

It's a solar light Sticki, I've got them pushed in pot's all over the garden :o)
