Thankyou :-), it has had a few flowers, there are 3 tree peonies in there, but they're only small yet, and some iris too, there is also a slope on the right, as we're on a hill the garden had to be terraced, but I'll show you that when its had its revamp,we lost several shrubs in the bad winter, including two beautiful pittospurum:-( and its still being sorted out, oh well look on the bright side more plant buying,lol.

Thankyou Homebird, yesterday I had my little helper the robin singing to me sat on the other chair while I was having a coffee, lol, she's so busy at the moment following me round collecting for her chicks, they must only be tiny yet as noticed she doesn't take any worms just small insects and grubs :-)

Great Kathy. How do you get it all done, but then again, peeps ask me the same question lol. That area looks lovely. You have an idyllic garden, robin included.

I've been out all day through the rain, sometimes jobs have to get done when free from domestics and work. Set a load of plants robbed from my Mum's garden, ideal as still raining. I was literally soaked to the skin.

Ooops forgot to do a blog Karen,busy busy last autumn, also extended another border by a couple of feet and moved all the plants forward as they were planted far too near a laurel hedge, looks much better now :-)
Never ending job isn't it Dawn, think I'm going to give up my half allotment next year, the garden just takes so much time, hardly been down there this year, did get it to grow on all my daylily seedlings but I do have a nursery bed in the garden, just need to find somewhere for all the plants that are in it,lol.
Thats what I call dedication, gardening in the rain :-)), mind you as you say best time if you're planting out, poured it down all day here, we had daughters and boyfriends for tea so spent the afternoon making pizzas and chocolate sponge :-))

I wouldn't give up that half allotment too quickly; I have fallen into the trap of crossing everything in sight, plus the new seed crossings are starting to come out, and I am wondering where everything will go. Last year I got 2 fans of Paradise City. They were seperated, so I put them in 2 different locations. This year there are now 10 fans, and I have to think about dividing them - it creates competition for the new seedlings and where to put them.

I change my mind from day to day Wylie about the allotment,got till next March to decide, know what you mean though at the moment its full of divisions, that are actually after a year quite large plants that'll split into 3 or 4 new plants, why are they soooo addictive, I always buy now think later,lol, this year there are so many in the daylily bed that need splitting to,must get round to listing on ebay again in the autumn, can't bring myself to compost them, what we need is a couple of fields and a couple of gardeners to go with them,lol.

Soon Daylilies will take over the world....mind you, they are edible, and the powers that be say we don't produce enough of our own food........hmmm....;)

lol...I just had this vision of walking along the river bank at Morton and all the fields to my right being full of daylilies all the way to Stockwith...and Kathy down there, pulling her hair out saying ...'more land, more land'!!

Lol now thats an idea Karen, those fields aren't used for much else are they at least they'd look pretty :-)), I've never tried the flowers, you'd think I would have wouldn't you :-), this is the year.

:D They are ok, they would make a pretty addition to a salad.
