You can keep it in a pot and move it Paul. I have this one in a pot and another in the garden.

Like that one Alex!
Could be hardy in a sheltered spot Paul, but very much touch and go.

Alexandramou:
Don't they bloom in winter like here in San Diego?
I do have some blooming now, also...however, they bloom and look their best in winter.

Delonix,
They bloomed right until that frost came along and I had to move it to a sheltered spot.
I don't think they will bloom here in winter like in CA.

I think some of mine bloom best in winter, is because of the winter rains.

We will be able to compare this winter. It was only a small plant from cutting last winter......and what a bad winter it was.

Yes, it does bloom better as it grows larger.
My plant is only 5ft/1.5m tall...it's been in the ground for 5 years. I can't believe how small it is in 5 years! I used to have Abutilons in the San Francisco Bay Area which used to grow to about 12 ft/4m tall in 1 1/2 years! The soil is much better up there and more rain.
