I am - always have been ever since I can remember.
I can go for weeks on three to four hours and then crash for a day.

Wow! That's very little sleep. I try to get at least 5 hours of sleep. My insomnia started only about 3 years ago...prior to this, I always would receive 7 hrs of sleep a night.

One of my great grandfathers was a chronic insomniac too, so I guess that it could be in the genes..........

It could in the genes. My father gets about the same amount of hours of sleep as you.

It used to bug the hell out of my parents when I was small!!!
