squirrels on the bird table

What a great shot,Suey..I love Squirrels,but never see any round here..that's probably why my bird food lasts longer ! :o)

they love the sunflower seeds in the bird food,Bloomer. these are quite young,it took them a long time to work out how to get on to the bird table.

thanks Karensusan,you are right their tails are really light,they reminded me of a feather.i could not believe how light they were,i thinks its because they are so young.

Catching up Sue, what a great pic, you can't help loving them. I no longer have a bird table after I noticed two dunnocks a few years ago, at different times, become very fat and eat insatiably. They couldn't fly at the end either. On googling I found there was a disease, which dunnocks were more prone to than other birds, which eventually killed them and they caught from bird tables. I have hanging feeders now, but the seed gets spilt on the ground and I've noticed a very fat dunnock again which has difficulty flying. Maybe bring back the table as it doesn't seem to make much difference:-)

Poor Dunnocks.I did'nt know that.Perhaps you might as well bring your bird table back.Some birds throw a lot of seed around don't they.Theres more on the floor than there is left on the table after they have been feeding in my garden.Hope you work it out.:O))

Thanks Marybells,they are so adorable.One spent hours on the bird table yesterday.They are very brave they travel quite a distance from the large trees to the bird table.

yes it is amazing how far the do travel that's so true about the ones i see too.
