Nicandra physalodes

I had some of these they started growing like weeds , they were all over a neighbours garden , I pulled them up, I believe they are poisonous from the potato family , despite that they are a pretty flower .....

I'm intending to collect its seeds - I think it's beautiful, and there's no room for it to seed all over the place. lol.

How big is it and how is the leaf/flower balance? It looks lovely:-)

It's about 18" tall, and the flowers seem to come at the top. The buds are as beautiful as the flowers! It's an annual, but I just had to get it, and hope to collect seeds. :-))

My friend had this a few years ago and I admired it then. Its really lovely and looks very exotic I think.

Yes, I agree. I wouldn't normally buy an annual as a plant, but I wanted it! ;-)) Seeds next.
