This Jacaranda tree which is across the street from me always blooms with many leaves. Not sure why this tree is evergreen, as most Jacarandas loose their leaves before they bloom. Photo taken June 10, 2012.

Many of the thousands of Jacaranda trees around downtown San Diego seem to stay evergreen, also. They bloom best when they loose all their leaves.
