Murky Pond After All The Rain

My little pond is abit murky with the rain aswell

It'll soon clear Dawn....Look at your lovely lily's

It will Maureen, once the clay settles again. The lillies need sun Maureen, not much of that about this afternoon. Lol Paul.

Me too...and look at all those lovely lilies coming out as well...so lovely. I think this pond is my favourite pond in the world Dawn! It is just a perfect size. Did you have to dig it out yourselves, or was it naturally there when you moved in ?

Dawn you could never be pretentious, but credit where credit is due, it IS a lovely lake, and I am so envious lol as big as the whole of our garden......!!

Yep, around 8 years ago we had a company in to dig it out with a JCB (50 metres long it is) but then 2 years ago we hired a digger ourselves and did a re-dig as it wasnt deep enough and the native reeds were taking over, my poor John was on the digger from dawn til dusk for 2 weeks solid and then I was left with mountains of bare clay, hard to believe its re-established so well, its been hard work and really dominated my time since then. The lilies werent disturbed though, we dug round them and left them like pedestals, or the dogwoods at the back. Have pics, must do a blog .... one day.
