My mother in law gave me this plant and said it would flower. It did, but what is it. It seems to be a cactus of some sort. I was hoping it was a night blooming cereus? Not sure

thank you so much. Since we moved to a more humid climate I put it
outside and it did this. Not a very pretty plant but I like unsual plants.
