I planted two of these in the area of the island bed where I removed the Artemisia.

Why not? Sounds lovely to me. However, not if you're going to rip out another part of your garden! :-(

Nooooooah! No chance! Sad to say, I've looked around and there just is nowhere! It will have to say in my imagination for now!

It's fun planning, though. :-))

Dd, I do agree about the name. I looked through catalogues at various white roses and their good and bad points before I chose this one. The two plants look very healthy. :-)
Thanks, Pp. :-)))

It certainly is a very handsome white.......

I read up on 'Margaret Merrill', which I'd heard so much about; but I gather that it has a touch of pink in it, and may not have the disease resistance of the more modern roses.

this is a nice clear white. does it die gracefully? some go pink and mottled.
oh while I remember my 'angel......' rose has a lovely bud. how is yours doing. I must take photos of it if it stops raining long enough :o)

This is its very first flower, so I'll watch it, Sbg.
No, only a shoot that might possibly be a flower bud on the way. :-(

That's pure isn't it? I was thinking today about a 'black and white' garden.....sambucus, black iris, heucheras, physocarpus diabolo etc. and white flowers.....what do you think? Don't know where on earth I am going to put this garden mind you!!
