These orchids still had a few flowers at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken on June 19, 2012.

It's too bad I didn't get a photo of all the flowers during early spring.

It's pretty common here in California. I had one and through it in the trash. It has too long of a dormant period for me. It grows in winter and starts to blooms in early spring...then it dies to the ground for many months.
