The flowers on this are huge this year, lets hope the rest are the same, they must be loving all the rain, I'm not :-))

Yes didn't realise till I put the picture on as it was in the middle of the daylily bed so I zoomed in, its dazzling isn't it :-))

One of my first ever daylilies and still a firm favourite, always one of the first to flower and never affected by the dreaded gall midge :-)))

Ours flowering too, love it, one of our yellow ones has the dreaded gall midge, apparently they do not cause problems on the later flowering varieties, went on the RHS site to see which ones are not effected and we don't have any of them, might have to buy some more!!

I am so excited that your daylilies are beginning to bloom. More for me to look at. This is a beautiful one!

This is nice, and I like those bright throats, even if they don't photograph very well. Tang has this problem, but if I get to it before the sun hits it, the throat doesn't glare as much.
Daglelie and I should get our Viking outfits in order so we can pillage an English garden. :)

Oh good glad yours is flowering too DD, the colour varies so much on the early flowers of this one, later they are a very pale lilac, like 2 for the price of one :-)), shame you have gall midge, I hate having to go round picking off all those buds :-(, still its the only solution, mine don't seem too badly affected this year, not yet anyway :-)
Thankyou Daglelie with me you and Wylie we can look at them all year round :-))
Thanks Wylie :-), lol, while you're pillaging my garden that means yours'll be unattended :-))))

We certainly do Gg, they're so slow opening that by the time they do the rains got in the buds and ruined them :-( had 2 open today on 'Sink into Your Eyes' gorgeous flower but they're ruined with all the rain :-)
My Lurch is nowhere near open yet, I'll look out for your picture :-)
