At first glance, I thought "oh here is Joan Senior". This is beautiful!

Love the yellow veining.

Thankou all :-), it does look very like Joan Senior doesn't it Daglelie, I bought this on an impulse at a Garden Centre, no info on what colour it was but took a risk and quite pleased with it :-)

Thanks daylily, hows your 'Bela Lugosi' doing?, they're so slow to get going this year with the awful weather, we need sun, thought the dreaded gall midge had flown by me this year,lol, but 4 handfuls of buds yesterday:-(, luckily this one doesn't seem affected.

Hi Simbad, it seems to be doing well, quite a few flower stems coming, but no where near flowering yet :)

Well went out this morning to find the blinkin magpies have been having a field day and pecked the flower stalks off 2 new ones grrr, wonder why they do it? maybe think the buds look like beaks ????, one of the above plants had survived 15 days in the post from Bulgaria recovered and produced a flower scape!!!! only to be pecked to within an inch of its life,lol :-))

Oh no, so annoying, I can see a few buds forming on mine now :)
