This was bought as a fairly large plant, but it obviously didn't like the amount of rain it was getting. When I repotted it, by the time I'd teased all the dead bits off, it fitted a pot three sizes smaller. Hope it recovers

thanks dear. the care page I found for it said, Don't overwater. ha, given how much rain we've had, I should have fitted it with an umbrella! I didn't know that was where they came from, thanks for that info, I'll keep it in mind for future - maybe I will fit some kind of rain-cover to it, enough to let a little water in, at least.

Yes it will, Fran, if it gets a lot of sun and no water. Take it inside for several weeks and water it only very modestly, let say once a week. Hebe do not like lot of water, as they come from hot and sunny Australia :).
