Gorgeous. Similar in shape to the native kowhai & Kaka Beak tree-flower we have in NZ .... the kowhai comes in yellow, & the kaka beak in white & also in red. That's a lovely colour.

Thank you all. I saw this tree last year while driving and stopped the car....asked the lady that was watering her garden about it. She gave me loads of seeds.

Me too.....three plants from seeds somebody sent me (hint)!!!!

There are sooooo many seed pods on this tree now. Expect to have many trees next summer. I found another seedling the other day.

I have two in the garden and one in a pot. The one in the pot has rust on the leaves, the ones in the garden are nice and green.

I will be sending you seeds for this tree in a month or so. I need to take a pic of it....it's around 5' now and loaded with seed pods.

I have one indoors, one in the greenhouse and one in a pot in the garden. The one indoors is my "banker" in case we have another vile winter!

That's why I have one in a pot....just in case of a winter like the last one.
