Amy it is in the bog garden that surrounds the barrel (our pond!!) there is a large white one just about to flower, they just love this weather.

Thanks everbody, I keep going to have a look at it, so pretty, it is just in a peaty soil, but it obviously likes where it is.....
Cinders hope to some pics of yours when they flower, case of right place, right plant which makes a change lol

Dotty, I've never much liked Astilbe's until now. This weather.....they are absolutely thriving! Anything that grows in my bog of a garden like this in this weather has got to be appreciated! Yours are way ahead of mine, but very lovely...love the pale pink of this one.

Karen thanks, these are tall ones, we have some later varieties which are much shorter.
HB must be the rain.......Jane yours will be flowering when ours are over, so will enjoy your pics then....

Yes, at this rate, they should be flowering around September. My delphinium is hardly through, let alone flowering, do you think something is wrong with it besides the weather? I have slug pelleted it most severly. Jx

Missing a few of ours this year Jane, not sure why, can only think the slugs got to them before the pellets got to the slugs!!
