Not sure of this croton's variety, there's hundreds. It's growing happily outside in the ground in semi-shade at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken June 19, 2012.

Oh yes, this shrub is very susceptible to bug attacks here. I almost lost my large one in 2010, it lost most of its leave and was almost dead from a horrible bug attack. It looks great now...after several applications of a systemic pesticide.
