Wild colour, looks a bit like a 'campsis' ?

Uber jealous Lil!
Mine is sulking after being dug up and moved from the old house..............

Wow . . very lush Lil. Looks great.

Never mind all this praise....I want humming bird pictures!

5 Jul, 2012

Sorry Meanie....next year??
Thanks Mark :)
Need a better camera to accommodate your request Pimp ;)

5 Jul, 2012

How fantastic to see them... I would rather watch them than take pics.

5 Jul, 2012

You must have them there, no??

5 Jul, 2012

Noooo!!!

A kingfisher is the nearest thing we have.. That's rare!

5 Jul, 2012

Awwww. They really are remarkable! Have actually had them land on the hammock for a rest occasionally while I am lying about......ok, more like passed out ;)

get some nectar feeders...You are so lazy Lil ;))

5 Jul, 2012

I have 4 cats that love to chillax in the garden just waiting for birds to appear. Would feel horrible luring them with a nectar feeder, all to get you a pic! Traumatic enough for me when they catch a 'regular' bird.

We need to make cat muzzles...

5 Jul, 2012

And yet another million dollar idea!

6 Jul, 2012

Muzzles might curb one weapon...but what about the lightning leaps and claws! ...and don't say "declaw"..that's inhumane! You are right Lil, we cat fanciers (or subjects) must make a choice. Have had a drastic reduction in chipmunks and squirrels but I do still have my hummingbird feeder and if you can put it high enough in a tree or on a very high pole...they are safe from cats, for the most part.
Do you suppose that vine would survive in zone 4a?

6 Jul, 2012

I'm in zone 6a Lori.....not 100% sure but I would definitely try.
Agree with you about declawing. Barbaric. Heard Canada is one of the few countries remaining that still allow it. Also that many vets refuse to do it :)

6 Jul, 2012

Suprised they allow it !........

6 Jul, 2012

I know, nothing more than a 'convenience' for cat owners who don't wish to have their furniture scratched up. Now you may understand the 'bandages' on my trees ;)

6 Jul, 2012

When I first took in Miss M. She shredded the covers on both sofas in no time... She is not too bad now.

6 Jul, 2012

'not too bad'...LOL
You should see the trim around my doors as well as the stair balusters! Oddly enough, it is only Boo who does the damage?
Mrs is our rescue who was declawed when we found her. Must have been a botched surgery bc she has always had a pronounced limp poor thing.

6 Jul, 2012

we bought Rufus a scratching post when brought him home...but he's shredding my upholstery all the same. Why would anyone do that to their beloved animal?

6 Jul, 2012

Can't say why on here Lori.....would be booted off for sure!
;-)

6 Jul, 2012

Great plant Lil......do the flowers last long?

8 Jul, 2012

Thanks Linda. The blooms last a couple of days but the plant is covered in them for weeks :)

8 Jul, 2012

Lovely! There's a campsis covering a stumpy tree in a garden just before we reach town - it's the head-turner that I make sure I never miss!
