The last few days have been insanely hot and storm after storm went around us until we finally got hit by one today. It wasn't enough rain to do much good (notice the dead grass everywhere) but at least it was an hour long break from the hot weather.

We had storm yesterday too -after weeks of dry and hot weather. Quite refreshing.

I've never remembered the grass being so crunchy! It actually feels prickly on your feet. On the plus side, haven't needed to mow in a few weeks! One more day of 100 degree weather here, can't wait for that to end. I miss the green, it used to be green into July here but weeks of hot dry weather makes it look more like August.

Tbat is an awesme sky, full of boding. Hope it didn't bode too hard when it finally came.

It knocked a couple HUGE oak trees over but other then that it was not bad at all. It has been so hot and dry this summer that it was nice just to get a little rain again :)

Must have been a phenomenal storm to knock huge trees down.l
