My Giant Yellow Shrimp Plant is starting to bloom with all the hot weather we've been getting. Photo taken July 8, 2012.

Yes, it should. I like how the flowers on this plant fade to blue/purple. It's the oddest thing!

Yes, it's not a common plant at all here in San Diego. I've read it's pretty widely used in south Florida as a small shrub.
