I guess yours is blooming about the same as mine. When did yours start blooming?

Mine started blooming last year for the first time in four years. It was due to the 7 year drought.

They stated blooming towards the end of May. I'm giving them high nitrogen fertilizer as you said they can't get to much of it. I think that's really helped in getting them to bloom.

I just checked my pics. The first bracts started developing in late April.

Yes, it loves a lot of fertilizer and water.
